Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This page explains which data we collect for what purpose, and what we do with them. We differentiate between usage data, which are generated “automatically” any time someone visits our website (see 1.), and personal data (see 2.). We collect and process personal data only to the extent permitted by law or if you expressly consent to our doing so (e.g. when using our online shop or customer services).

1. Data generated by visiting our website

a) Non-personal data

We store the IP address currently used by your computer in an anonymised form, your browser type and operating system, and the date and time of your visit. We also log the pages you view. We are not able to link this information to your personal data, nor is it our intention to do so.

b) Google Analytics

We use the software “Google Analytics”, a web analysis tool by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (hereinafter: “Google”). Our marketing department uses the information this tool provides to optimise your stay on our website in order to make it as interesting as possible. “Google Analytics” works as follows:
“Google Analytics” places small text files known as cookies on your computer, by means of which the software is able to analyse your use of our website. The data generated by these cookies regarding your use of our website are usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within the member states of the European Union or other contracting parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is your full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. IP anonymisation is activated on our web pages. Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse your use of our website, to create summarised reports on the surfing behaviour of the users of our website and in order to provide us with further services relating to website and Internet usage. The IP address forwarded from your browser in Google Analytics is not linked to any other data collected by Google.
You can prevent the storing of cookies through corresponding settings in your browser software; please note however that in this case you may not be able to take full advantage of the functionalities of our website. You also have the option of preventing the collection of data relating to your use of our website and generated by this cookie (including your IP address) and the processing of your data by Google altogether. To do so, download the following browser plugin and install it on your computer: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

c) Facebook

We use social plugins (hereinafter: “plugins”) by the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 South California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”), on our website. Facebook plugins are identified by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on our web pages. For an overview of Facebook plugins, please see https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. If you access one of our web pages that contains a Facebook plugin, your browser creates a direct connection to the Facebook servers; Facebook then sends the content of the respective plugin directly to your browser, which integrates it into our web page. We therefore have no control over the type or amount of data Facebook collects through its plugins. For your information, our current understanding is as follows: Integrating the plugins informs Facebook that you have accessed our website. If you have a Facebook account and are logged into it when you visit our website, Facebook can link this visit to your Facebook account. If you use the plugins, e.g. by clicking the “Like” button or leaving a comment, this information is sent directly to Facebook and stored there. Facebook can also identify and store your IP address if you are not a member of Facebook. According to Facebook, in Germany only anonymised IP addresses are stored. For information from Facebook regarding the extent and purpose of data collection by Facebook, the further processing and usage of these data and your rights and privacy protection options, please visit https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. If you are a member of Facebook but do not want your data to be collected and linked as described above, you must log out of your Facebook account before visiting our website. You can also limit the functionalities of Facebook plugins through browser add-ons such as “Facebook Blocker” (http://webgraph.com/resources/facebookblocker/).

d) Google+

We use the “+ 1” button (hereinafter: “button”) from the Google Plus social network operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (hereinafter: “Google”) on our website. The button is identified by the characters “+1” on a white or coloured background. If you access one of our web pages that contains such a button, your browser creates a direct connection to the Google servers; Google then sends the content of the button directly to your browser, which integrates it into our web page. We therefore have no control over the type or amount of data Google collects through its button. For your information, our current understanding is as follows: According to Google, no personal data are collected if you do not click the button. Only if you have a “Google Plus” account and are logged into it when you visit our website are your personal data, including your IP address, collected and processed by Google. For information from Google on the purpose and extent of its data collection, the further processing and use of your data and your rights and options for protecting your privacy, please see http://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html (Google Privacy Policy) and http://www.google.com/intl/de/+1/button/ (FAQs on the “+ 1” button).

e) Twitter

We use the buttons provided by the Twitter service operated by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, on our website. Twitter buttons are identified by the words “Twitter” or “Follow” together with a stylised blue bird. An overview of Twitter buttons is available here: https://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons. Using these buttons allows you to share articles or pages of our website with other users, or to follow us on Twitter. If you access one of our web pages that contains such a button, your browser creates a direct connection to the Twitter servers; Twitter then sends the content of the button directly to your browser, which integrates it into our web page. We therefore have no control over the type or amount of data Twitter collects through its buttons. You can view Twitter’s privacy policy here: https://twitter.com/privacy.

f) Re-targeting

Our website uses what is known as re-targeting technologies. We use these technologies to make the online experience more interesting for you. Re-targeting allows us to address Internet users who have already visited our site to learn more about simpleshow by displaying advertising on the websites of our partners. We believe that users will generally find personalised advertising relating to their interests more interesting than advertising that does not relate to these interests. The advertisements are shown on the sites of our partners by means of a re-targeting code and an analysis of previous usage behaviour. This form of advertising is completely anonymous. No personal data are stored and no usage profiles are connected to your personal data. You can prevent re-targeting measures by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

2. Personal data

a) Definition

Personal data include what are known as master data, i.e. data that are required to form, define or alter contractual relationships between you and simpleshow, such as your company name, your tax number, your contact data (telephone, fax, e-mail, website) etc.

b) Your rights

If you contact us personally, e.g. in order to subscribe to our newsletter or order something from our online shop, we store and use your personal data. Insofar as the law requires that you expressly consent to this use of your data, we will inform you specifically. You can withdraw your consent by e-mail (see below) at any time, effective for the future. In particular, you can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. You also have the right to request information on the data we hold on you, free of charge. In addition, you have the right to demand that we amend, block or delete your data in accordance with legal regulations. Should you wish to contact us regarding your personal data, please e-mail info@simpleshow.com.

Their services meet all requirements of German and European data protection law. Personal data will only be provided to government institutions and authorities in accordance with mandatory national legislation or if their provision is necessary for legal or criminal proceedings as a result of attacks on our network infrastructure. Under no other circumstances will your data be made available to third parties.
